Cosmetology
This two-year program prepares students for licensing as cosmetologists. Instruction includes, hair styling techiques, hair cutting, shampooing, permanent waving and chemical straightening, hair coloring and hair lightening, nail technology, skin esthetics and makeup techniques, scalp and hair care. Professional ethics, beauty salon management, customer relations and retailing are also covered. Students will be prepared to take the Virginia State Board Examination to become licensed hairdressers.
